1. Who is running it?

The competition is organised by Tradegrow Pty Ltd, registration number 2024/207287/07, the company operating Askly ("Tradegrow", "we" or "us"). Its address is 44 Schumann Street, SW5, Vanderbijlpark, 1911, South Africa.

These rules explain how to enter, how entries are judged and how the prize is awarded. Entering means accepting the final published version of these rules.

2. Who can enter?

Free and paying Askly users are welcome. You do not need to buy anything, top up your account or spend a minimum amount to enter or win. You need a valid Askly account to submit your entry and must keep at least one associated contact method current and reachable. Your normal internet or mobile-data charges may apply.

People anywhere in the world can enter, including people under 18, subject to these rules and applicable law. Entry and receipt of the prize must be lawful in your country of residence and where you participate. You may not enter from a place where this competition or payment of the prize to you is prohibited by applicable law.

If you are under 18 when entering, a parent with legal authority or your legal guardian must read and accept these rules and give the necessary consent before your entry and personal information are submitted. They must supervise participation and the public sharing of your entry. If you are under 18 when claiming the prize, that parent or legal guardian must claim and receive it on your behalf, for your benefit. The same applies where your local law requires guardian involvement at a higher age.

The competition does not override Askly's or any social platform's minimum-age or account rules. Where your age prevents you from holding an account, a parent or legal guardian may assist through their own account only where the service and applicable law permit it. They must identify you privately as the creator during the guardian-consent process. Do not misstate your age or identity. A guardian assisting a child is a representative, not an additional entrant for the same creation.

Where a parent or legal guardian submits for a child, references to the entrant's creation mean the child's work. The adult must confirm that they are acting for the child, obtain the necessary permissions and check that the submission follows these rules; they must not claim the child's work as their own.

The competition is for individual creators. Tradegrow's directors, employees, competition contractors and judges, people directly involved in administering the competition, and their spouses, life partners, business partners and immediate family members cannot enter or win. Suppliers involved in the competition and people controlling or controlled by the organiser are also excluded.

3. How to enter

1. Make something with Askly. It could be a CV, business promotion, study resource, project plan or another useful creation. You may show something you made before the competition or during it.
2. Post a public video or image on social media during the entry period. Show your creation and briefly show how you used Askly. Explain how it helped you or how you plan to use it. Include #MadeWithAskly in the caption or post text.
3. Submit your post link on the competition website before entries close. Add a title, a short explanation, a public display name and a category, and accept the entry confirmations and these rules. For an under-18 entrant, complete the guardian-consent process first and use only an account arrangement permitted under section 2.

You can submit full public post links from Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, X or LinkedIn, subject to each platform's rules. TikTok links currently support video posts. Use permanent posts that can be reviewed: private posts, profile links, disappearing Stories or Statuses, and unsupported redirect links are not accepted.

Your submission must reach the website before the deadline. Posting the hashtag or tagging Askly alone does not submit an entry. Keep the entry reference shown after submission.

4. Share on more platforms

We encourage you to share your creation across your social platforms so more people can see it. Add up to six post links to the same creation in one entry. The links may come from different supported platforms.

Each distinct creation receives one competition entry. Posting the same creation several times or on several platforms does not create additional entries or add judging points. You may enter more than one genuinely different creation. Do not submit the same creation again through another account or person.

For the 100-entry minimum, each eligible, distinct creation counts once. Multiple eligible creations from the same person may count separately; this is a minimum of 100 creations, not 100 different people or 100 social post links.

Use My entries to add links or edit your submission before the deadline. Every edit sends the entry back for review, temporarily removes it from the public gallery and clears any current weekly feature. A timely submission does not become late merely because our review happens after entries close.

5. What should your post show?

Show what you made, enough of Askly to explain its contribution, and why the result matters to you. Distinguish results you have already achieved from things you hope or plan to achieve. A useful idea or plan can qualify; you do not need to prove business success or income.

The creation must be your own work using Askly. AI assistance is expected. You must have permission to use any other person's work, music, image or contribution included in your post, and must accurately describe help you received.

All submitted content, including videos, images, captions, music and linked posts, must comply with the laws of your country and any other laws applicable to you, and with the terms, community standards and promotion policies of every social platform on which you publish it. You are responsible for checking those requirements, obtaining the necessary permissions and ensuring that your creation and post do not infringe anyone else's rights.

Responsibility for your content: you are responsible for the material you create, submit and publish, including its accuracy, legality and permissions. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Tradegrow and Askly are not responsible for losses, claims, penalties or platform action resulting from your unlawful or infringing content or your breach of a platform's rules. Review, approval or featuring of an entry is not a legal clearance or endorsement of its claims. This clause does not exclude Tradegrow's own legal duties, liability for fraud or gross negligence, or any liability or entrant rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Do not include private conversations, identity documents, bank details, addresses, contact information or other people's personal information. Redact private details in CVs and documents. Do not include unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, dangerous or misleading material.

Keep at least one submitted, qualifying post publicly available until judging and any winner verification are complete. We may ask for limited, redacted evidence of your Askly use or ownership. We will not ask for your password or access to your entire conversation history. We will consider a documented platform outage fairly; it does not automatically disqualify an otherwise valid entry.

6. Entry review and weekly features

The Askly team reviews entries. A member of the team may approve or reject an entry after checking it against these rules. Approval means the entry can appear in the public gallery; it does not mean the entry has won.

We may select approved entries for weekly features. All approved entries remain eligible for the main prize, whether featured or not, subject to the 100-entry minimum in section 8. There are no additional weekly prizes. Features recognise interesting creations and do not add points to the final judging score.

An entry submitted on time and awaiting review remains eligible for consideration. An entry that does not meet these rules may be rejected or disqualified, with a reason where reasonably possible. Before the deadline, you may correct a rejected entry and resubmit it through My entries. After the deadline, we may clarify existing evidence but will not accept a new or materially improved creation.

7. How the winner is chosen

This is a judged competition. If the minimum of 100 eligible entries in section 8 is met, the Askly team will select the winner by assessing eligible creations using these criteria:

Each judge scores the creation against this rubric. The average of the judges' total scores determines its ranking. Judges may review throughout the competition, but final scoring uses each entry's latest eligible version submitted before closing.

Likes, views, followers, the number of platforms used, money spent on Askly and professional production quality do not affect the score. There is no public vote or random draw.

If total scores tie, the higher average usefulness score wins, followed by creativity, then clarity. If entries remain tied, the judges compare them again using the published rubric and record a reasoned decision. If they cannot resolve the tie, an independent replacement judge makes that comparison using the same rubric; no random selection is used. A judge with a conflict of interest must step aside from the affected decision, with an impartial replacement used where needed.

Judging decisions must follow these rules. You may raise an error, conflict of interest or fairness concern through the contact details below; these rules do not remove your legal rights.

8. Winner announcement and the R10,000 prize

The R10,000 cash prize will be awarded only if at least 100 eligible entries are received before entries close on 30 December 2026 at 23:59 SAST. An eligible entry is a distinct creation submitted on time that meets these rules. Duplicate creations, duplicate social links, ineligible entries and entries withdrawn before the final count do not count. Each qualifying creation counts once, including where it has been shared on several platforms. The prize is not Askly account credit.

The Askly team will review all timely submissions before determining whether the minimum has been met. Entries awaiting moderation at the deadline will count if they are subsequently found eligible; approval after closing does not make a timely entry late. Entries will be assessed consistently under the published rules and must not be rejected merely to avoid reaching the minimum. We will record the final eligible-entry count and publish the total with the outcome. Once that count confirms the minimum, later withdrawals or a selected entrant's failure to claim will not reverse the threshold decision; the replacement-winner process below applies where needed.

If fewer than 100 eligible entries are received by 30 December 2026 at 23:59 SAST, the competition will close without selecting a winner or awarding the cash prize. The competition will not be extended to reach the minimum. Tradegrow will publish the outcome on 31 December 2026. If review of timely entries is still incomplete, the announcement will explain that the outcome is pending; failure to reach the minimum will not be declared until that review is complete.

We will announce the competition outcome on the website on 31 December 2026. If the minimum is met and a winner is selected, we will contact the selected entrant through the contact details associated with their Askly account, or contact their parent or legal guardian where guardian involvement is required. We may also share the result on Askly's official social channels. If entry review or winner verification is incomplete on announcement day, we will clearly identify what is pending and label any provisional result accordingly.

The selected entrant, or their parent or legal guardian where required, must respond within seven calendar days of our first notification to the appropriate recipient. We will make at least two reasonable contact attempts and give a clear response deadline. We may request only the information reasonably needed to verify eligibility, creation ownership and payment details. Documents and bank details must be provided privately, never in a social post or public entry.

For a winner under 18 when claiming, a parent with legal authority or the winner's legal guardian must respond, complete verification, and claim and receive the cash prize on the winner's behalf. We will contact that adult using the private contact details recorded through the guardian-consent process. We may request reasonable proof of the winner's age, the adult's identity and authority to act, and valid payment details. The prize remains for the winning child's benefit; the guardian does not become the winner. If local law requires another protected payment arrangement for a child, the payment must follow that law. Guardian involvement also applies where required by local law for an older entrant.

Tradegrow will arrange a bank transfer of ZAR 10,000 before applicable charges, within 14 business days after verification and receipt of valid payment details. Payment will be made to a verified bank account in the winner's name or, where guardian involvement is required, to the verified parent or legal guardian's bank account on the winner's behalf, subject to any protected-payment arrangement required by local law.

Bank charges, international transfer fees, intermediary-bank charges and currency-conversion fees are for the recipient's account. Tradegrow will not cover or reimburse those charges, except where applicable law requires otherwise. Banks or payment providers may deduct these charges from the transfer. The amount ultimately credited may therefore be less than ZAR 10,000 or its equivalent. If the recipient's account receives another currency, conversion will use the bank or payment provider's applicable rate when it processes the conversion; no fixed foreign-currency amount is guaranteed. These deductions do not authorise Tradegrow to reduce the gross prize or add its own fee.

Tradegrow will not charge an entry, release, administration or claiming fee, and will not require the winner or guardian to send money to Tradegrow to unlock the prize. The recipient-borne charges above are genuine charges imposed by banks or payment providers. Payment details must be supplied privately and must be correct. The cash prize will not be replaced with Askly account credit without the winner's agreement or, where required, their legal guardian's agreement on their behalf.

If a selected entrant is ineligible, or the entrant or their parent or legal guardian where required declines the prize or does not respond after the stated deadline and reasonable contact attempts, the next highest-ranked eligible entry may be selected using the same judging process, subject to applicable law. We will record the reason and update the published result.

9. Your content and permission to show it

You keep whatever ownership rights you have in your creation and post. Entry does not transfer those rights to Tradegrow.

By entering, you give Tradegrow a non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to display your submitted title, chosen display name, story and social posts in the competition gallery and its weekly features, using links or permitted embeds. The website can be viewed internationally. We may make necessary display-format changes without changing the meaning of your entry.

For a child entrant, a parent with legal authority or legal guardian must give the necessary permission for this public display before submission. Use a privacy-preserving display name and do not publish the child's date of birth, school, location or private contact details. The guardian may exercise the child's applicable privacy and withdrawal rights on their behalf.

We will ask separately before downloading or reusing your content in paid advertising, unrelated marketing or a testimonial, or using your personal image in winner publicity. Interviews, publicity appearances and additional marketing participation are optional and do not affect your right to the prize. We can identify an entry by its reference rather than a personal name where appropriate.

For a child, any additional use requires the appropriate parent or legal guardian's separate permission and any further consent required by applicable law. Consent to enter is not permission for unrelated advertising.

To withdraw your entry or request removal from the gallery, contact support@askly.site with its reference. Withdrawal before the final judging decision removes it from prize consideration. Declining optional publicity or requesting removal after a valid prize award does not itself remove your right to that prize. Removing our display does not remove your original social post or copies independently shared by others.

10. How we use your information

We use your Askly account details, entry, rules acceptance and necessary verification information to run the competition, review entries, contact you, resolve concerns and pay the prize. Authorised reviewers, judges and necessary service providers may process this information for those purposes.

Approved entry content and your chosen display name are public. Your account email, private moderation messages, identity evidence and payment information are not published in the gallery. Social platforms process information under their own policies when you use their services or load embedded posts.

We retain information only for as long as needed to administer the competition, handle disputes and meet applicable recordkeeping requirements, then delete or anonymise it as appropriate. Entry does not automatically subscribe you to marketing messages.

For an under-18 entrant, we also process the minimum information needed to record the parent or legal guardian's authority and consent, communicate with them and administer any prize claim. Their private contact details and verification documents will not be displayed in the gallery. Guardian permission at prize-claim time does not replace the consent needed before a child's entry information is collected or published.

11. Social-platform rules

The competition is organised by Tradegrow and is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, X or LinkedIn. You provide your competition entry to Tradegrow.

Follow the terms, age requirements, community standards, promotion rules and applicable advertising/disclosure policies of each platform you use. Use any required competition or promotional disclosures. Do not spam people, buy engagement, tag people inaccurately or use multiple accounts to create duplicate competition entries. You are not required to tag friends, gain followers, collect likes or repeatedly repost the same content. Tradegrow may reject, remove or disqualify an entry that breaches applicable law or platform policies, while explaining the reason where reasonably possible. These obligations do not replace Tradegrow's own responsibilities as competition organiser.

For YouTube entries, comply with the YouTube Community Guidelines and YouTube Terms of Service; non-compliant entries will be disqualified. To the extent permitted by law, entrants release YouTube, Facebook and Instagram from liability arising from the administration of this competition. This does not exclude rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Changes, disruptions and questions

We will run the competition according to the published rules. We will not change the judging criteria retrospectively, reduce the advertised prize or introduce a new purchase requirement.

If a legal requirement or serious disruption makes a change necessary, we will explain it on the competition website, notify affected entrants where reasonably possible and take reasonable steps to protect valid entries and accrued rights. We will not increase the 100-entry minimum after entries open, introduce a different participation target, or use low participation to withhold the prize once the final eligible-entry count confirms that the published minimum has been met.

South African law governs these rules, without removing any mandatory protections that apply to an entrant. Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, gross negligence or any liability or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.
